Frozen Sunrise

Sun on snow is one of the most beautiful sights. When I saw a photo of these sun-drenched trees casting long shadows on a snowy hill I had to paint it (thanks to my friend for letting me paint based on their photo!). The paint used on the original even creates the shine on the snow like you see when walking through a fresh field of powder. On the road towards Gunnison National Park
